Ryan Pedley (43) top scored for the 1st XI as they totalled 193 against visitors Bridgnorth. The home team were looking good at 184-4 before losing their final 6 wickets in the space of 3 overs. Bridgnorth looked to be in trouble at 31-3 but Simon Gregory (72) and David Exall repaired the damage. Exall’s unbeaten innings of 69 proved to be crucial and the result of the match was easily told with the Tail of 2 Tails.

George Cracknell scored a patient 81 and was well supported by Adam Jones (40) and Deon Patel (36*) as the 2nd XI scored 211 at Barnt Green. This proved to be underpar as Harrison Moncriefe (43) and Henry Moberley (56) made a  solid start before a captain’s innings of 47 from Alex Woods saw the Green home with 6 overs to spare.

Joe Kelly took 5-14 as the 3rd XI dismissed Claverley for 98. Matt Crane took 1-26 in a lively opening spell on his return from University and Josh Searle took 2-20. In reply Paul Husbaands made a quick 28 as Bromsgrove reached 50-4 before the tea break. After tea Matt Stratford (32*) and Joe Kelly (20) finished things off.

Ollie Stratford scored 76 with good support from captain Richard Barnes (60) and Rob Law (53) and the Cavaliers posted 264-5 against Cookley 2nd XI. A welcome return to form for Chris Burford saw him take 4-33 with good support from 15 year old Nick Blackmore (2-21 from 10).

Unfortunately on Sunday, Old Elizabethans were unable to field a side to play at Bromsgrove and were forced to concede the match.
